I wanted to call attention to the not-so-subtle methods of shopping centres that commercialise public space and human activities within. Shopping conflated with leisure. Identity reduced to a commodity. Malls designed like casinos: ensnaring addicts enabled by convenience. These photographs were taken at shopping centres around Perth.
